Important Dates For 2017 Election

In Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, this year's election will be a mail ballot election.

Sep. 23 Deadline to send mail ballots to military and overseas electors
Oct. 6 Last day to mail notice of election for ballot issues and for the Legislative Council staff to print and distribute the ballot information booklet for statewide measures to active registered voters
Oct. 16 Last day to submit an application to register to vote through a voter registration drive for the Coordinated Election
Oct. 16 First day mail ballots may be sent to voters, except for UOCAVA voters
Oct. 30 County Voter Service and Polling Centers must be open
Oct. 30 Last day to submit an application to register to vote through the mail, a voter registration agency, a local driver's license examination facility, or online to receive a mail ballot for the Coordinated Election. Afterward, may still register in-person with County Clerk
Nov. 3 County ballot drop-off locations must be open
Nov. 7 Last day to register to vote in-person with County Clerk
Nov. 7 Election Day. All ballots must be in the hands of the county clerk by 7:00 pm on election day in order to be counted. Ballots cast by military and overseas voters must be sent no later than 7:00 pm on election day and received by the close of business on the 8th day after the election
Nov. 9 Deadline for the county clerk to send missing signature, signature verification, and missing ID letters for mail and provisional ballots Nov. 15 Last day for ballots cast by military and overseas electors to be received by the county clerk in order to be counted
